Drug Uses
Nolvadex is used for healing of breast cancer that has spread to other sites in the body. It is also used along with other drugs to treat other types of breast cancer. It is used in women who are at high risk for breast cancer and in women with DCIS (after surgery and radiation) to decrease the risk of developing breast cancer. It can also be used for other situation as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Take Nolvadex with a glass of clear water as prescribed by your physician. Take Nolvadex with or without a food. Swallow this medication whole. Don't break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Continue to take Nolvadex even if you feel well. Do not miss any dosages. Taking Nolvadex at the same time daily will help you to remember to use it.
Additional Information
Nolvadex can cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Nolvadex is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Nolvadex with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor. This pill should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't use less or more or take it more often than ordered by your physician.
