Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who don't react to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other conditions as suggested by your physician.
How Taken
Take Reglan as directed by your doctor. Take Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without consulting with your physician.
Additional Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, check with your doctor. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been advised. Do not take less or more or use it more often than recommended by your doctor.
