Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for treatment of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other breathing diseases. It may also be used for other conditions as directed by your doctor.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or more. Do not stop using this medication or change the determined dosage without your doctor`s approval. Consult your doctor regarding the dose suitable for your condition.
Additional Information
Albuterol may cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects may worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Take Albuterol with caution. Don't drive or perform
other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how
you respond to this drug. If your
symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, talk to your physician.
If your regular dosage does not work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to use it more often
than usually, ask your doctor
at once. This may be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your doctor may need to change
your dose or medicine. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or
more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
