Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for healing of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other airway diseases. It can also be used for other conditions as recommended by your doctor.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or more. Do not stop using this medication or change the directed dosage without your physician`s approval. Visit your physician regarding the dosage suitable for your situation.
Additional Information
Albuterol can cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects may worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Take Albuterol with caution. Don't drive or perform
other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how
you react to this medication. If your
symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor.
If your ordinary dose does not work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to take it more often
than normal, consult your doctor
at once. This can be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your doctor may need to change
your dosage or medicine. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't take less or
more or take it more often than determined by your physician.
