Drug Uses
Methotrexate is used for healing of ertain types of cancer, severe psoriasis, or rheumatoid arthritis in certain patients. It can be used alone or with other pills. It may also be used for other situations as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Use Methotrexate as suggested by your doctor. Use Methotrexate with or without a meal. However, you should take it the same way each time in relation to food. It is recommended to drink extra fluids while taking Methotrexate. It can take several weeks for your symptoms to improve. Do not stop taking Methotrexate without calling to with your doctor. Methotrexate works best if each dosage is taken at the scheduled time.
More Information
Methotrexate may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Methotrexate is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Methotrexate with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this product. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, consult your doctor. This product should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Don't use
less or more or take it more often than directed by your doctor.
