Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for healing of breathing problems in people who have asthma or certain other breathing diseases. It may also be used for other conditions as recommended by your doctor.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or longer. Do not stop using this medication or change the directed dosage without your doctor`s approval. Ask your physician regarding the dose suitable for your situation.
Additional Information
Albuterol can cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects can worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Use Albuterol with caution. Do not drive or perform
other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how
you respond to this medication. If your
symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, talk to your doctor.
If your ordinary dosage does not work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to use it more often
than usually, talk to your doctor
at once. This can be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your physician can need to change
your dose or medicine. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been recommended. Do not take less or
more or take it more often than prescribed by your physician.
