Drug Uses
Verapamil is used for healing of supraventricular tachycardia, a rhythm disturbance of the heart. It is also used for controlling heart rate response to other rhythm disturbances, specifically atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Verapamil as recommended by your physician.
Additional Information
Verapamil can cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Verapamil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Verapamil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than advised by your doctor.
