What Do I Mean To You?

by Howard A. Landman

Oh the sun is bright, and the ocean shines,
but not like your smile
And the sand is soft between our toes
on this peaceful little isle
We had out time here, and time moved so slow
But tomorrow I've got to go
I want to know so much, so tell me true
What do I mean to you?
What do I mean to you?
Oh the air is warm, and the clouds are soft,
but not like your skin
And the flowers here are gorgeous,
but they don't begin
To compare with the way you glow
With a light that moves me so
I want to know so much, so tell me true
What do I mean to you?
Bridge:
Laughter and delight is all fine for a while
It's hard to worry when you're close at hand
But will it last, or is this song just the cry of a loon?
And all my love a castle made of sand?
Oh the day is blue, and the water's deep,
but not like your eyes
And the waves wash on the shoreline
so it's no surprise
That your presence laps at my heart
Till I crumble and come apart
I want to know so much, so tell me true
What do I mean to you?
What do I mean to you?
What do I mean to you?
What do I mean to you?
What do I mean to you?
